Novel class of therapeutic molecules to treat a range of serious human diseases.

Synthetic antibody mimics are low-molecular-weight antibody-mimicking structures that have been developed by Christian Heinis in the group of Sir Gregory Winter at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) in Cambridge, UK. The novel class of therapeutic molecules combines key qualities of conventional antibody therapeutics with advantages of small-molecule drugs. Synthetic antibody mimics should be used to treat a range of serious human diseases.
